Tourism is the country’s main source of income due to the large amount of visitors it receives each year to their beaches, historical and religious sites.

 Here are the top tourist attractions worth visiting when in this beautiful country:

 Tel Aviv and Jaffa

This is the cultural centre of the country and worth visiting. It is here you will find the amazing nightlife and luxurious beaches. This city is just over 100 years old, so has plenty of history to learn from during your visit. However, Jaffa – the city next to it is steeped in the past as has been around since biblical times.

Jerusalem Old City

This is the capital city of Israel and should be at the top of your list of priorities when visiting the country. This city is one of the most sacred cities in the world with three major religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. There are a number of holy sites to visit and learn from – the entire city is steeped in some of the most magnificent history.

Masada

The mountain rocks here are found on the south east of Israel – overlooking the Dead Sea. This location has many stories to it – some nice and some not so much. However, with the magnificence of the view, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This sea is located at the lowest point on earth. The water is also reported to be ten times saltier than the ocean. However, due the sea being so rich in minerals it is good for those individuals with any form of skin problems.

This is the largest Holocaust museum in the world, so if you are a fan of learning about the tragic history of this even – this is the best location to do it in. No visit to Israel is complete without visiting this museum.

The largest percentage of tourists to Israel come from the US due to the amount of history the country has to offer and the wonderful stories it tells. With the large number of historical monuments and biblical places to visit, this trip could be the best of your life.
